Fees and history of Mangu High School

Mang’u High School is a prestigious Roman Catholic national boys’ secondary school established in 1925.

Its founder is a Dutch priest, Michael Witte of the Holy Ghost Fathers (Spiritans).

The institution is located approximately six kilometers from Thika town along the busy Nairobi-Thika Highway.

Initially opened at Kabaa, the institution was temporarily abandoned in 1920. Father Witte would revive it in 1923, alongside the Central School for Catechists at the Kilungu Mission.

The school’s fee structure is critical to new learners, parents, and other stakeholders. In 2025, students pay a tuition fee of about Ksh 70,000, excluding key learning materials.
